Precision Dermatology built on formulation science
“Skin is the largest organ of the body, and it requires our greatest attention.”
This idea sits at the center of everything Monoskin builds. Skin is often treated as a surface to improve. We treat it as a system to understand, and we build every formulation from that starting point.

Researchers asking the right questions
Monoskin comprises a series of researchers across various fields who came together to answer the most pertinent questions in dermatology. The brand was only formed once all of them were answered.
What formulation is most effective for a skin condition?
How do we ensure correct dermal delivery?
At what percentage does an ingredient actually produce results?
Who should be the voice of reason for skin?
About the founder, a researcher in design, human rights, and biology, who looks at skin at both a microscopic and macroscopic level of the human body.
Care that is restrained,targeted responsible.
Monoskin is a dermatology-focused skincare brand built on formulation science, skin biology, and long-term skin tolerance. Rather than pursuing immediate cosmetic outcomes, we concentrate on understanding how skin functions beneath the surface, where balance, barrier integrity, and controlled delivery define real health.
Each formulation is developed with a clear purpose: to support compromised, sensitive, and reactive skin through precise ingredient selection, targeted delivery, and dermatology-aligned formulation logic. By respecting the skin's natural structure and response mechanisms, Monoskin delivers care that is restrained, targeted, and clinically responsible.
We call this Precision Dermatology
Skin is a complex system, not just a surface. It needs proven science to address the conditions it faces.
The problem we set out to solve
After 10+ years of dedicated research, we found that many active ingredients are well studied and well understood, yet fail to perform as expected simply because they never reach the layer of skin where they're needed. An ingredient sitting on the surface, however well formulated, cannot treat a concern that lives deeper.
This is the problem Monoskin was built to solve, and it remains the foundation of the brand today.
Effective ingredients, at effective concentrations, targeted to the correct dermal layer.
Cetosomes®: our answer to delivery
Cetosomes® is Monoskin's patented dermal delivery technology, protected under US Patent US9084818B2 and licensed from Cymbiotics Inc., USA. It's built around self-assembling nanoparticles with a nanovesicular structure designed to support both hydrophilic and lipophilic active ingredients within one unified delivery platform, enabling efficient encapsulation of diverse dermatological actives while maintaining formulation stability.
Rather than leaving actives on the skin's surface, Cetosomes® bio-mimics the skin's natural lipid barrier, supporting deeper, targeted dermal delivery by enabling encapsulated active ingredients to navigate the epidermal barrier through bio-mimetic skin lipid interaction. As the nanoparticles diffuse through the viable epidermis, encapsulated actives are released gradually, providing controlled and sustained release of active ingredients across 24 hours while supporting consistent treatment performance.
Why Cetosome® works better
A next-generation dermal delivery technology designed to enhance penetration, improve absorption, and maximise active-ingredient performance deep within the skin. Tap each layer to explore how it works.

🛡️ Protective Lipid Shell
A cetyl-alcohol bilayer that shields the encapsulated active as it travels through the skin, keeping it stable until it reaches its target.
Ensures deeper dermal penetration for improved efficacy, prolonged release, and enhanced skin compatibility.
🔒 US Patent US9084818B2What it refuses to do
The skincare industry has normalized practices that prioritize how a product looks on a shelf over what it does on skin. That is exactly what Monoskin was built to refuse. Specifically, the brand refuses to:
Market through "ingredient dusting"
Listing actives at token amounts for the label rather than functional concentrations that work on skin.
Use any under-researched ingredient or formulation
Nothing goes into a Monoskin product without a body of evidence behind it.
Offer Rx products without a doctor's prescription
Treatments that require clinical oversight stay behind clinical oversight, not behind a checkout page.
Across Africa, the UK and India.
Our growth has been shaped by direct collaboration with medical associations and healthcare institutions across three continents, each launch carried out in partnership with the physicians closest to the communities we serve.
Nairobi, Kenya
Monoskin's launch in Kenya was carried out with the support of the Global Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (GAPIO), Columbia Africa Hospital, MP Shah Hospital, and the Commonwealth Association for Health and Disability (COMHAD). The launch coincided with the GAPIO Mid-Year Conference in Nairobi, bringing Monoskin's formulation science directly to physicians from across the region.
Guided by global medical leaders
Our formulation approach has been shaped in consultation with an international group of dermatologists and healthcare leaders across India, the UK, Russia, South Africa and the United States, clinicians who see the real-world impact of skin treatment every day.
In my 35 years of medical practice, this is the first time my husband has truly liked a moisturizer. That is the power of Monoskin and Cetosome technology.

Your technology and formulations are great. Make sure you keep researching and creating your intellectual property; that is what is special about Monoskin.
Dr. Nik Kotecha, OBE
Pharmaceutical Entrepreneur & Scientist
Every product Monoskin makes is built on the same foundation: formulation science, dermatology-aligned logic, and Cetosomes® delivery technology, developed to support skin that is compromised, sensitive, or reactive, rather than skin that simply needs a cosmetic touch-up.
This is the standard we hold ourselves to, and it's the reason our formulations develop the way they do: not for how they perform in a single use, but for how they support the skin's own biology over time.
